Last month, the Council adopted Councilmember Kobayashi’s Resolution 18-50 urging the City administration to address City changes to roadway parking in Ala Moana Regional Park. At the January 29, 2018 outreach meeting, the City’s consultants presented the proposed Master Plan improvements, which included widening the promenade along the makai side of Ala Moana Park Drive and eliminating parking stalls often used by park users to unload recreational, picnicking and handicapped access equipment adjacent to the beach.
