Earlier this month, I forwarded a copy of the Auwaiolimu Park Permitted Interaction Group (PIG) report to neighbors on Kaloko Lane and Olomana Lane, who brought the illegal activities at the park to the Board’s attention. Neighbors had not seen the questionnaire in the PIG report, and would like to meet with PIG members regarding increased illegal activities involving homeless individuals on a daily basis.
Neighbors report that two homeless individuals have recently began sleeping in the park after hours. They note that the individuals routinely go through neighbors’ trash cans, harass nearby residents, and store their belongings on Pacific Heights Road and within the park itself. I encourage the PIG members to meet with neighbors to develop recommended solutions that we can all support.
