In recognition of Aiea Community Association’s lengthy community outreach initiatives, the City Council adopted Resolution 17-226, FD1 at the September 6th full Council meeting in Kapolei. Mahalo to ACA President Tamamoto for joining us at the meeting to explain the background for the resolution!
Resolution 17-226, FD1 requests the City administration to incorporate recommendations from Aiea Community Association (ACA) as Appendices to the Aiea Town Center Master Plan (copy of FD1 amendments are attached). It assures that the master plan reflects the Aiea community’s current ideas and priorities for the remaining Sugar Mill parcel, which include community gardens, elderly workout areas, landscaped walking paths, a Peace Garden, a traditional lo‘i and other amenities to support multi-generational recreational activities.
