The long-awaited repairs for Kalihi Valley District Park have finally been completed! According to a representative from the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), the court lights are now operational after a high-voltage replacement project by Hawaiian Electric (HECO) required their being turned off. In February, HECO completed their project and the lights are presently operational. DPR subsequently completed its planned court resurfacing project last month.
DPR contractors resurfaced the tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts in Kalihi Valley District Park, and the courts have been reopened for residents to enjoy. Mahalo to the Department of Design and Construction, Department of Parks and Recreation, and HECO for their coordinated efforts to upgrade this important community resource!
